Market movers for the week ahead – Rabobank

Michael Every, Senior Asia-Pacific Strategist, suggests that for the rest of the week there are some major data and central bank highlights including China’s aggregate financing (borrowing) some time from today to Friday.

Key Quotes

“On Tuesday it’s Aussie home loans along with the Fed’s Williams speaking in Sydney (he really does seem to have moved Down Under, doesn’t he?) and US NFIB small business confidence and Canadian housing starts.”

“On Wednesday there are UK unemployment and Indian CPI along with a BoC rate decision (on which note, please see here for a preview), which in turn comes before Fed Chair Yellen’s semiannual testimony to the House of Representatives (one might expect questions along the lines of “Do you know what you are doing?”) and the Fed’s Beige Book.”

“Thursday has US PPI and the Fed’s Evans and Brainard, along with China trade data.”

“Friday has US CPI and real average weekly earnings along with retail sales, industrial production, and Michigan consumer confidence. Kaplan also speaks.”
