China’s July trade data (USD): Exports & imports dip, miss estimates

The China customs published trade balance for July in USD terms, reporting a wider-than expected trade surplus, however, both exports and imports missed expectations.

In USD terms,

Trade Balance (USD) July came in at 46.70B surplus versus 45.0B exp and 42.75B previous.

Exports (YoY) July: +7.2% (est. +11.0% and 11.3% last)

 Imports (YoY) July: +11.0% (est. +18.0% and 17.2% last)
