Spain PM Rajoy fires the entire Catalan government

Spain's Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy is hitting the wires, saying that it's a "sad" day and states that Catalans are ignoring general interest. Also, Rajoy announces he fired the entire Catalan government, including Catalan police chief.

He further adds that ministries in central government will assume powers of Catalan administration.
