Germany: Annual CPI at 1.2% in February

FXStreet (Barcelona) - According to data released today by Destatis, German annual inflation rose 1.2% in February, following 1.3% growth registered the previous month. This result is in line with analysts' forecasts. On a monthly basis German CPI rose 0.5% in February, after sliding 0.6% in January, as expected.

Year-over-year German HICP rose 1.0% in February, up from 1.2% in January. On a monthly basis HICP grew 0.5%, compared with the 0.7% fall. Both results are in line with consensus.
