US: Initial Jobless Claims rose to 320K
FXStreet (Edinburgh) -According to the Labour Department, the Americans that filed in their first initial claims for regular state unemployment-insurance benefits rose by 5K last week to a seasonally adjusted 320K in the week ended March 14, bettering forecasts at 325K and coming from 315K (revised from 315K) in the previous print. Continuing claims, which reflect people already receiving benefits, rose by 41K to a seasonally adjusted 2.889 million in the week ended March 7 vs. 2.848 million in the previous week (revised from 2.855 million).
