Wall Street recovers the tone and posts modest gains on Tuesday

FXStreet (San Francisco) - US consumer confidence fueled investors' sentiment on Tuesday as major indexes posted its first advance after three days. The Dow and the S&P 500 turned positive in the month after today's gains.

The Dow Jones advanced 91.19 points or 0.56% to finish the session at 16,367.88; the S&P 500 added 8.18 pts or 0.44% to close at 1,865.62; while the Nasdaq won 7.88 pts or 0.19% to 4,234.27.
