RBNZ Spencer: Scope to remove LVR rules as rates rise

FXStreet (Barcelona) - RBNZ Spencer, speaking from Hong Hong at the Credit Suisse Asia Investment conference, said the RBNZ will coordinate monetary and macroprudential policy, adding that lending limits have dampened inflation.

Spencer also commented that lending rules may have cut pressure on the NZ dollar, lastly saying that there is scope to remove LVR rules as rates rise. The NZD/USD is currently trading near trend highs at 0.8630/35.
