Fed's Quarles endorses wider use of LIBOR alternative

Randal Quarles, Federal Reserve board member and Vice Chair for Supervision, has recently crossed the wires saying that he was endorsing a wider use of LIBOR alternative, the secured overnight financing rate (SOFR), as reported by Reuters. Quarles hasn't delivered any remarks concerning the near-term monetary policy outlook.
