US to withdraw from postal treaty that allows Chinese companies to ship to US at a discounted rate - NYT

Citing senior administration officials, the New York Times reported that the White House was planning to announce the decision, urged by President Trump's trade advisor Peter Navarro, to withdraw from the 144-year-old postal treaty that has allowed Chinese companies to ship small packages to the United States at a discounted rate. 

"The withdrawal is part of a concerted push by Mr. Trump to counter China’s dominance and punish it for what the administration says is a pattern of unfair trade practices. The move is expected to be announced on Wednesday, according to senior administration officials," the NY Times' Glenn Thrush wrote.
