Germany's DIHK lowers 2018 GDP growth forecast to 1.8% from 2.2% previously

On Thursday, Germany's Chambers of Commerce (DIHK) lowered its 2018 GDP growth forecast to 1.8% from 2.2% previously.

Key highlights:

   •  Forecasts a further growth slowdown in 2019 to 1.7%.
   •  Business uncertainty caused by trade disputes, Brexit clouding growth prospects.
   •  Says that companies are noticeably more cautious about the business outlook.
   •  Sees the biggest deterioration in business expectations in four years.
