NZD/USD extends gains above 0.8600

FXStreet (Córdoba) - The NZD/USD rose back above 0.8600 during the American session and hit fresh 4-day highs after the release of the FOMC statement at 0.8632. Finished the session hovering around 0.8620 with a daily gain of 70 pips.

The kiwi was among the best performers on Wednesday and rallied further after the FED announced another cut in the bond purchase program.

NZD/USD eyes weekly highs

To the upside the immediate resistance lies at 0.8635/40, where weekly highs lie, above here the next comes at 0.8665. to the downside immediate support could be located at 0.8600 and below here at 0.8570 and then 0.8545 (April 30 low).
