US: Nonfarm payrolls soar to 288K in April, beating expectations

FXStreet (Łódź) - US NFP jumped 288K in April, following the March increase revised up to 203K, according to data released today by the US Department of Labor. This result is considerably above market consensus of 210K.

The Unemployment Rate dipped to 6.3% from 6.7%, below forecasts of sliding to 6.6%.
