EUR futures: faces some consolidation near term

In light of CME Group’s preliminary figures for EUR futures markets, investors added around 6.5K contracts to their open interest positions on Thursday from Wednesday’s final 533,046 contracts, reverting two consecutive drops. Volume, instead, shrunk by almost 69K contracts after three builds in a row.

EUR/USD still capped by 1.1340

Yesterday’s correction lower in EUR/USD was on the back of declining open interest and a moderate drop in volume, opening the door for further consolidation around the recently regained 1.1300 area in the near term.
