New Zealand February job openings up 0.9% – Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment

Early Wednesday, New Zealand’s Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) released results of the economy’s government official employment market survey for February 2019.

The report mentioned an increase of 0.9% MoM in all vacancies index during February with a 7.8% rise in online vacancies during the past year.

The survey result was upbeat as it said vacancies increased in nine out of the ten industry groups, six out of eight occupation groups and in all of the five skill levels.
