10-year Japanese bond yields hit the lowest levels since August 2016

The yields on the Japanese government bonds (JGB) of 10-year maturity extended the recent weakness, hitting the lowest levels since August 2016, tracking the sell-off in its global peers.

Earlier today, the US 10-year treasury yields hit 15-month lows of 2.342% before recovering slightly to 2.358% while the Aussie 3-year government bond yields hit record low of 1.354% amid RBA rate cut expectations.
