Fed’s Harker: US jobless rate likely to fall to 3.5% in 2019 before ‘ticking up a few tenths of a point’
Fed's Harker is crossing the wires saying:
- Paying attention to risks from business investment outlook, global growth, trade developments and yield curve;
- Inflation to avg just above 2% in 2019 and 2020, that would not be a red flag;
- Still in 'wait-and-see mode';
- Expects 'at most' one hike in both 2019 and 2020.
