USD to stay strong in coming three to six months - Reuters poll

The American Dollar is seen trading on the offensive in the next three to six months, courtesy of weak economic data and cautious comments from non-US policymakers, the latest Reuters poll of nearly 70 economists has found. 

Analysts, however, predict that the greenback will begin losing ground later, eventually pushing EUR/USD to 1.18 in 12 months from now. The currency pair is currently trading at 1.1175. 

It is worth noting that analysts in Reuters polls have been wrongfooted for nearly two years in their predictions for a weaker dollar.
