GBP/JPY retreats from 172.00

FXStreet (Córdoba) - On a volatile day for the Pound, the GBP/JPY fell in hours from 2-week highs to the lowest price since Friday. During the Asian session peaked at 171.97 but then bounced to the downside and bottomed on European hours at 171.27.

Since then it has been moving inside a trading range with support at 171.30 and resistance at 171.60. Currently stands at 171.45, 0.14% below today's opening price.

GBP/JPY remain limited

Price action continues to be characterized by low volatility and trapped between 171.20 and 172.00, since last Wednesday. Below 171.20 the next support is the 171.00 area followed by 170.40.

EUR/JPY facing headwinds

EUR/JPY is trading at 139.03, down -0.04% on the day, having posted a daily high at 139.39 and low at 138.82.
