GBP/JPY falls to 2-day lows but holds above 173.00

FXStreet (Córdoba) - The GBP/JPY retreated further from 2014 highs and bottomed on Monday at 173.16, the lowest price since last Thursday. During the American session the pair managed to move off session lows, trimming losses.

Currently the pair trades slightly below 173.50, down 0.09% for the day so far as it continued to pullback from 174.08 (June 20 high).

A stronger Yen pushed the GBP/JPY to the downside at the beginning of the week. While the USD/JPY fell back below 102.00 the GBP/USD managed to hold above 1.7000.

EUR/UD getting into a tighter spot - FXStreet

Valeria Bednarik, chief analyst at FXStreet noted that the EUR is posting a doji on a daily basis for a second day in a row.
