US stocks retreated, Europe mixed
FXStreet (Córdoba) - Wall Street is falling on Thursday but stock prices moved off session lows in the last hours. The Dow Jones is falling 0.48% while the Nasdaq is down 0.43%. The S&P 500 is also lower, falling by 0.44%.
European markets finished with mixed results. Among country indexes, the UK FTSE 100 rose 0.02% while the Germany's DAX 30 edged down 0.64%. The France’s Cac 40 fell 0.46%. Italy’s FTSE MIB lost 0.39% while Spain’s IBEX 35 gained 0.20%.
In the FX market, the USD trimmed gains versus European currencies and pulled back versus the Aussie and the Kiwi. The best performer during the American session is the Canadian dollar, with the USD/CAD trading at 6-month lows below 1.0700. Gold is falling 0.40%, below $1,300 an ounce, while crude oil is rising 0.70%.
