Coronavirus update: Germany’s new infections rise by 1,390, R-value at 1.11

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases rose to 225,404 with a total of 9,236 deaths, as reported by the German disease and epidemic control center, Robert Koch Institute (RKI), on Tuesday.

Cases increased by 1,390 in Germany on Tuesday versus Monday’s +738. The death count rose by 4, the tally showed.

RKI estimates the 4-day average of the virus reproduction rate to be 1.11 with the gauge on the health system classified as 'low'.
