Wall Street closed down on political fears

The Dow Jones declined 161.39 pts or 0.94% t finish at 16,976.81; the S&P 500 eased 23.45 pts or 1.18% to close at 1,958.12; while the Nasdaq Composite lost 62.2 pts or 1.41% to end the day at 4,363.45.
