AUD/USD tests 0.9400, but got a bounce again

FXStreet (San Francisco) - The Aussie tested the 0.9400 level again in the latest few minutes and it got a new bounce as the AUD/USD is trading back at 0.9415.

Currently, AUD/USD is trading at 0.9415, down 0.03% on the day, having posted a daily high at 0.9426 and low at 0.9400. AUD/USD spot is in neutral territory according to the hourly FXStreet OB/OS Index, while the FXStreet Trend Index is slightly bullish.

AUD/USD sentiment

If the pair extends bounce, it would test the top side of the recent range at 0.9420 before finding resistances at 0.9430 and 0.9450. On the downside, supports are at 0.9400, 0.9380 and 0.9360.

USD/JPY unchanged after US data

Friday summer trading has confined most pairs in the FX market to a phase of consolidation, with the latest release of US data having little impact on the dollar.

EUR/USD under pressure on two fronts - Commerzbank

EUR/USD is under pressure on two fronts: from speculation about a turnaround in Fed policy whilst the ECB is becoming increasingly expansionary, according to Lutz Karpowitz, analyst at Commerzbank. The fact that the Fed and ECB are moving in opposite directions is putting increasing pressure on EUR/USD and this trend is likely to continue over the coming months, the analyst said.
