US stocks decline, USD consolidates gains
FXStreet (Córdoba) - Wall Street was falling on Friday while European markets finished lower. The FTSE 100 lost 0.43% while the Dax retreated 1.53% and the Cac 40 declined 1.81%. In the US the Dow Jones was falling 0.75% and the Nasdaq 0.54%.
The US dollar was consolidating gains and reached fresh 2014 highs versus the Euro and the Swiss Franc. The Canadian Dollar was the worst performer so far during the American session.
Gold was rising, recovering after falling yesterday below $1,290 and was trading above $1,300. Crude oil, affected by risk aversion was 0.30% lower, below $102 a barrel.
