Wall Street's main indexes opened flat on Tuesday as investors seem to be staying on the sidelines while waiting for news regarding the infrastructure bill. Among the 11 major S&P 500 sectors, the Energy Index is rising 0.8% on the day supported by a 1% increase witnessed in crude oil prices. On the other hand, the defensive Real Estate and the Utilities indexes both lose 0.15% after the opening bell.
Earlier in the day, the data from the US showed that Unit Labor Costs increased by 1% in the second quarter but this print was largely ignored by market participants.
