Fed's Bullard: Asset purchases don't have much value right now

In an interview with Bloomberg TV on Friday, St. Louis Fed President James Bullard repeated that he would want asset tapering to start now and be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2022, per Reuters.

"Asset purchases don't have much value right now," Bullard added.

Ahead of FOMC Chairman Jerome Powell's speech at the Jackson Hole Symposium at 1400 GMT, the US Dollar Index stays in the positive territory and was last seen rising 0.1% on the day at 93.13.
