Covid cases continue to rise in Australia

Victoria has reached a new high in the Delta COVID-19 outbreak with 208 new local cases and a further death recorded overnight.

The vaccination rate is key in order to see the states moved out of lockdown. 

New modelling shows the first national target will be hit earlier than expected, around September 19 according to 9 News Australia. 

The total number of vaccines administered in NSW, the largest of the states,  is now 7,223,164, meaning it has reached the first 70% vaccine target. 

Meanwhile, it is all eyes on the US jobs data later today and AUD/USD is steady around 0.74 the figure in consolidation.
