NZD/USD rises to 0.8400

FXStreet (Córdoba) - The NZD/USD posted moderate gains on Tuesday and finished barely below 0.8400 with a gain of 20 pips. After starting the week on a weak tone the Kiwi regained momentum supported by risk appetite as Wall Street posted the best daily results for the current year so far.

Levels to watch for the NZD/USD

On Tuesday the NZD/USD traded above 0.8350 all the time and moved to the upside. The rally was capped by 0.8400. Last week the pair traded above 0.8400 but it was rejected and at the beginning of the current week pulled back, finding support at 0.8340.

Immediate short-term support levels lies at the 0.8340/50 area and below here at 0.8315 while to the upside, 0.8400 is a key area to watch; above the next possible resistance is located at 0.8425 (February 28 high).
